Sithman's Endor Diorama

So, here it is: my Endor diorama! This setup comes in a close second behind the Clone War diorama for my favorite. But I still love it to death! :-D

In total there are 2 AT-STs (one POTJ and one TESB vintage), 7 stormtroopers, 6 ewoks, 2 rebel commandos, a vintage AT-ST driver, and Han and Chewie. All in all, it's a darn good amount of figures for such a small space! The AT-ST has always been my favorite land vehicle from the Star Wars movies (the X-Wing being my favorite spaceship and TEH gunship being my favorite atmospheric ship), so I pride myself on having two! You'll notice I placed the light-gray vintage AT-ST agains the black poster and the darker POTJ AT-ST against the white wall so that they would stand out more. It's all in the details my friends. ;-)

Here's a much closer shot of the diorama. This is the left-hand side. Anyways, I'm showing you this picture to show off my favorite part of this diorama... The "environmental" detailing! And by that I mean the grass, bushes, tree, and moss-covered log (that one of the ewoks, you may note, is clambering over). Aren't they so cool? The grass is affixed in the same manner that the sand for my Geonosis diorama was (I'm not going to re-type the entire thing!). The bushes are a mossy type of material that I purchased at a craft store years ago and thought would be great to use for this Endor diorama. I think it worked out great! The tree, though you can't see all of it, was the hardest part. I constructed it out of twigs, that mossy material, and lots and lots of superglue. :-P The most difficult part was getting it to stand up! And lastly, the moss-covered log is my favorite part! The stick I found turned out to be the perfect size and I love the way I arranged the moss on it. The moss is affixed with superglue.

Sorry for the uninteresting shots! This is just a slightly higher-angled version of the first picture. Check out, on the right hand side, the two little "vignettes" I organized. The first is Han and Chewie caught off guard by a lone stormtrooper, and the second is the rebel commando blasting a stormtrooper right in the face with his blaster. :-D

Here's a closer view of that stormie getting a faceful of blasterfire. You'll notice this picture was taken before I put in all the grass/moss details. Still, I think it's way cool how I affixed that red blast effect to the stormtrooper's face. *evil grin*

And last of all, here's a little more "cinematic" shot of the diorama!

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed that look at a brief part of my collection! I have a much larger collection, but I'm just spotlighting the Endor diorama I just fininshed! :) Don't forget to check my Clone War diorama as well! :-D
